Te Whānau Āwhina

Te Whānau Āwhina work together to fundraise and help create a strong school community for our kura and is led by a group of parents. What we are fundraising for in 2025/2026

Our fundraising focus for 2025 was the canopy project, and we will be continuing this fundraiser in 2026 to complete the work.

The project includes replacing the existing canopy outside Rooms 11–16, which is no longer fit for purpose. This area provides essential shelter from sun and rain for students, parents, Kelly Club, and is also a well-used meeting place.

We are also fundraising for a new canopy outside Rooms 17 and 18. There is currently very limited shelter in this area, and we would love to provide better protection from the weather for students in these rooms.

This is a large project, and all fundraising efforts in 2026 will continue to go toward making it a reality. Every donation, big or small, helps us move closer to creating safe, all-weather gathering spaces for our tamariki and school community.
