Welcome! In Rūma Whā we believe everyone contributes their own valuable skills and talents. In our space we try to make learning fun! We strive to inspire our tamariki to be creative, curious, risk-taking and engaged learners. We encourage our learners to collaborate with others, as well as to be responsible for themselves and proactive in their learning. Our tamariki belong to a Rōpū (Māori word for group) with their 2 teachers. This Rōpū is then part of an extended whānau called a hapū (extended family). We chose the word hāpū because we want to develop a shared identity and for the tamariki to feel like they are part of something special. " Me mahi tahi tātou mō te oranga o te katoa" - We should work together for the wellbeing of everyone!
