Welcome to Room 19. We love to learn! Pop in and visit us or check out our Seesaw blog to see what we have been learning about!
Kirsten Pickett email@example.com I have been a teacher for 21 years and joined the Kaurilands team 2 years ago. I love teaching Juniors and feel blessed to work with such a supportive staff and community. My children attend this amazing school. I love spending time with my family and friends and listening to music.
Jo Senio firstname.lastname@example.org Talofa, I'm Jo and I have the privilege of teaching in Room 19 on Fridays and relieving around the school. I have three children, two who are here at Kaurilands and one preschooler. I absolutely love Kaurilands, both as a teacher and a parent. I feel very blessed to be part of such a great school.
Welcome to Room 20. Our class motto is "Everyone in Room 20 gives it a go!" We are always trying out new things, finding new challenges and celebrating our successes together as a class. If we find something tricky we support each other to reach our learning goals- we never ever laugh if someone gets stuck or makes a mistake. We know that mistakes are a part of learning! Check out our awesome learning below on our seesaw blog!
Jaimee Leigh Thompson
I am a beginning teacher in my second year of teaching. I have a degree in early childhood education and a graduate diploma in primary school teaching.
I want my students to feel like our classroom is their second family- a place where we all laugh, play, have fun, and learn together!
In Room 21 we are at the beginning of the learning journey. We foster a positive, fun learning environment where children learn to take risks, problem solve and learn through play. We are learning to use school values to help form positive relationships with all the members of our community.
Hayley Jesperson email@example.com I am passionate about teaching Juniors and making sure the transition from early childhood is as smooth as can be for children and whanau. My 4 children attended this great school so I was involved as a parent before I started working here. I love reading, walking and being at the beach.
Hamish Morgan firstname.lastname@example.org I attended Kaurilands as a child, I have worked here as a KiwiSport Activator and now I am team teaching in room 21 as part of a ministry initiative to get more teachers into junior classrooms. I will be teaching the next new entrants class to open up in term 2.
Welcome to our class! We love learning.
Kara Wilkins email@example.com I have been a part of the Year 1 team at Kaurilands since 2009. Both my children attend our kura. I love teaching in the juniors, we have a supportive team and lots of fun. When I’m not teaching, I’m chilling with my whānau and indulging my love of photography, art and design.
I have been part of Kaurilands for the last 19 years. As parent help, a teacher in the Senior school, and now part time with the Juniors. If I’m not at Kaurilands I’m working at Auckland Libraries, so if you see me at one be sure to say hi!
Welcome to Room 23! We love to learn and we have lots of fun! Check out more of what we have been up to by looking at our Seesaw blog or pop in and say hi.
A Year 1 classroom is like no other, very busy and loud and fun! Year 1 is such a special time for children and families. I believe play is very important for children in year 1. My own two children attend Kaurilands School. At the weekend I love spending time with my family at the beach .
Welcome to Room 24. Feel free to spend time in our class anytime, we love helpers! Remember to check out our Seesaw Blog to see what we have been learning.
I have been working at Kaurilands for 15 years and I still look forward to coming to work each day. We have a special environment at Kaurilands and I am proud to be a member of this community. I am an avid reader, I like walking and love travelling.
Welcome to Room 25. Nestled among our native trees. Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti arahia ô tātou māhi. "Let the uniqueness of the child guide our work".
I have been teaching for the past 10 years in a variety of schools. I design learning to ensure it is social, engaging and caters for individual learning needs. I continually explore practices to ensure success for learners. I also love relaxing at our bach with my beautiful whānau.
